Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from the University of Arizona 


Have taught all of the Private lesson Woodwinds (flute, clarinet saxophone, bassoon) at EAC since 1996.  

Taught Chamber Ensembles (Flute Choir, Clarinet Choir, Saxophone Quartet, Wind Quintet) at EAC for 15 years.

Taught General Music, K-6 at Pima for 7 years. 

Played flute and oboe in the EAC Symphony Orchestra since 1995. 

Played saxophone in the EAC Jazz band for 7 years. 

Played saxophone, flute, small percussion and back-up vocals in the Monsoons, a soft-rock-country band for 10 years.

Am now in my sixth year of teaching Instrumental Music to the Thatcher School District and I Love it!


Born in Honolulu, Hawaii

Graduated from John Woolman School, a small Quaker High School in Grass Valley California;

At the age of 31 was accepted into the flute department at the U of A and received a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance diploma with Honors.

Spent most of my adult life in various parts of Arizona, including 5 years in Aravaipa Canyon, 10 years in Tucson and 22 years on Cottonwood Wash, to the west of Pima.

Was married to Peter Sundt for 28 years and we and had two sons, Emiliano and Olaf.  

Olaf, his wife Lilly, and my grandkids Stella and Reef live on the Big Island of Hawaii.  My Mom, who is 92 and still driving, lives in Hononlulu.
